Rules / strategy¶

As each day investigators do the prelude, and continue with their hand and trauma to the selected scenario, heal yourself during the prelude, you can enter the actual scenario in better shape. Add a healing cards like: First Aid Medical Text, Hallowed Mirror, Liquid Courage Moment of respite Spiritual Healing, Clarity of Mind (Mystic), Healing Words (Mystic), Deny Existence (Mystic), Meditative Trance (Mystic).

5 cards and resources are kept for the following scenario, but uses the prelude to build the hand as there is no mulligans for the next scenario. Keep one asset in play, in addition to any that would always start in play. Shuffle all cards in your discard pile (including those you discarded due to holding more cards than starting hand size) back into your deck.

Mulligan can be done for prelude and when going back to the Vale.

Rules clarification: one way to beat location-enemy in Helmock House, is to drop a clue per investigator onto the location-enemy to turn it back to being dormant.

When removing an enemy locations combined, clues go back to the pool but story assets stay in the below location. Then spending an action and another set of clues to seal it. A sealed location will never “wake up” again.

Fire in a room causes damages only on its enemies side!.

The shapeless cellar may be killed or all the clues removed.

This campaign uses tokens as in Innsmouth conspiracy so combine cards from those two campaigns to impact bag.

As enemies are resilient with high life, elusive or aloof, try to add cards that can hit multiple targets, like Dynamite blast or Storm of Spirits.

Strategy based on events or on hand size will be challenging in this campaign where treacheries force to reduce cards in the hands. Event based investigators like Diana or Nathaniel run the risk of running out of steam and need to draw a lot.

Some other enemies or treasuries eat assets, so prefer double cards deck with some backup cards from the most important ones like Cyclopean Hammer, Ancient Stone, Becky.. run cheap decoy assets that you can feed into these treacheries.

Deck: a generalist investigator with rounded characteristics approach is very possible in this campaign, you almost never have to grow your skills higher than 6 or 7 to expect passing tests on Standard

Since a lot of XP are tied to the preludes, failing a scenario will not even set you back as much as it usually does,

• Need to build around bag manipulation with curses and
• Choose a path to help the priestress or not
